Christopher M. Lott
has compiled a collection of tools that gather
metrics for C
source code by various authors, including himself.
Most of the tools have to be compiled with a C compiler.
Metrics supported are, among others, Lines of Code, Halstead's and McCabe's.

A tool that calculates a set of object-oriented
metrics from Java code has been developed by
Andrew Cain and Rajesh Vasa for a project at
COTAR,
Australia.
JMetric
requires Java 1.2 (or JDK 1.1.6 with special extensions).
JMetric is distributed under the terms of the General Public
License.

The
MiniSQUID
tool was developed by Barbara Kitchenham and Steve Linkman
at Keele University.
MiniSQUID is a tool to define the structure of complex data sets and to
store the data relating to the defined structure.
Several public domain data sets available for research purposes
are included.
MiniSQUID is available as freeware for Microsoft Windows 95.
