• The Australian Software Metrics Association ASMA is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes the use of software measurement.
• The Data & Analysis Center for Software is the software information clearing house of the US Department of Defense. DACS provides information on software technology and software engineering. Links to resources include, among others, measurement, cost estimation and process improvement.
• The European Software Institute (ESI) in Bilbao, Spain. ESI is a non-profit organization focusing on software process improvement and related issues.
• DASMA is the German language user group for software metrics and estimation. Die Deutschsprachige Anwendergruppe von Software Metrik und Aufwandschätzung befaßt sich mit der Entwicklung und Festsetzung von Standards zum Messen von Software. DASMA ist mit der IFPUG assoziiert.
• The Common Software Metrics International Consortium (COSMIC) is an initiative to develop a new functional size measurement method, drawing on the features of existing methods. The current version of the COSMIC Full Function Points approach is COSMIC-FFP 2.1. Measurement manuals, documentation and other material are available from the site of the Software Engineering Managment Research Laboratory at the University of Quebec at Montreal.
